Through the annual scholarship tournaments hosted by Van Smith, owner, Stoughton Acres Golf Course, Butler, PA and Wesley Milton, owner, Gospel Hill Golf Club, Erie, PA, Northwestern PA GCSA, Inc. has been awarding scholarships to college turf science students employed by one of our members for many years. Beginning in 2009 with the help of some additional funding from dues, the scholarship opportunities were expanded to include non-turf college students who are children or grandchildren of any of our members. Turf Scholarship
To apply for a turf scholarship, each applicant must complete an application (click here), the required questions (click here), and a superintendent's report (click here). In addition, a transcipt of grades and classes and one letter of recommendation must accompany the application.
THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JULY 1ST OF EACH YEAR.
Non-Turf Scholarship
To apply for a non-turf scholarship, each applicant must complete an application (click here) and the required questions (click here). In addition, a transcript of grades and classes and one letter of recommendation must accompany the application. Remember, this scholarship is for children and grandchildren of any NWPGCSA member pursuing any college degree.

Quarterly Newsletter will not be published in 2012
In an attempt to cut costs and convert to more digital forms of communication, the quarterly newsletter will not be published this year. All communication will be done via emails, this website, or our facebook page. Pertinent information will still be mailed to members without internet access. Membership Directory
In April, a new membership directory is published and given to every member. Currently, the only way to receive a directory is via mail once membership has been established. Eventually, members will be able to view the directory on this site by entering their password.
